New air services to the Highlands
Inverness currently handles more than 330 scheduled flights a week to destinations including London (Gatwick, Heathrow and Luton), Belfast, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Stornoway, Kirkwall and Sumburgh. Three new services have now been added making Inverness and the Highlands even more accessible.
Aer Arann announced a new service from Dublin to Inverness from April 2006. The service operates on Mondays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays and depart from Dublin at 10.30am and Inverness at 12.15pm with a flight time of one hour. The route is operated by a 66 seater ATR72 aircraft and fares will start at £75 return, including taxes and charges. Visit the Aer Arann website for further information
Eastern Airways announced the launch of a new service between Inverness and Leeds Bradford in April. The six days a week service is operated by a 29 seater Jetstream 41 aircraft with the one hour twenty minute flight departing Leeds Bradford at 10.15 and returning from Inverness at 12.05. Ryanair has a new daily service from Inverness to Liverpool operating daily on a Boeing 737-800 series aircraft (189 seats). More information available on the Ryanair website .
